The National Anti-Doping Panel has imposed a nine month suspension on Leicestershire CCC cricketer Chris Wright after a hearing in May 2024.
Mr Wright tested positive for a prohibited substance – ostarine- in September 2023.
Mr Wright was provisionally suspended by the Cricket Regulator and was formally charged with two anti-doping rule violations under the ECB Anti-Doping Rules.
Mr Wright admitted the charges, and the Panel accepted that Mr Wright had no intention to breach the Anti-Doping Rules.
As the nine month suspension was backdated to October 2023, Mr Wright will be free to play cricket again from July 19, 2024.
