Miles Hammond has been fined £1,000, suspended for 2 years, and received a warning as to his future conduct by an independent Cricket Discipline Commission (CDC) Adjudicator.
Mr Hammond accepted that he breached Regulation 3.2.3 of the Professional Conduct Regulations and agreed for the case to be determined pursuant to the Summary Procedure.
The charge concerned Mr Hammond’s use of abusive language towards a spectator, following significant provocation, which occurred during a T20 Blast match between Somerset and Gloucestershire at the County Ground, Taunton, on 7 July 2024.
