Lancashire CCC, Manchester Originals and Tom Aspinwall have been sanctioned in respect of their breach of Regulation 4.6 of the ECB Regulations Governing the Qualification and Registration of Cricketers for Competitive County Cricket (the “Registration Regulations”). The breach relates to the temporary release of Mr Aspinwall from Manchester Originals to Lancashire CCC to participate in the Metro Bank One Day Cup without meeting the relevant requirements.
All three accepted their respective breach of the Registration Regulations and agreed for their cases to be determined pursuant to the Summary Procedure.
Lancashire CCC and Manchester Originals have been reprimanded, cautioned as to their future conduct, and reminded of their ongoing obligations to comply with the Registration Regulations. They are each required to pay a fine of £750.
Mr Aspinwall has been cautioned as to his future conduct and reminded of his ongoing obligations to comply with the Registration Regulations.
